Dr. Koziol has an internationally recognized reputation. This best seller in neuropsychology and neuroscience was recently released in a paperback edition and translated in Japanese. Since the publication of this manuscript, Dr. Koziol has co-authored a combination of ten book chapters by invitation as well as peer reviewed journal publications (Click here to review his CV) . While he teaches and supervises students at the graduate and post-graduate levels, he has achieved the highly unusual and respected "three-peat" accomplishment of publishing three specialty topic papers within the same specialty journal within a 12-month period of time. These peer reviewed manuscripts cover the topics of the neuroanatomy of adaptation, expertise and giftedness, the neuroanatomy of sensory integration and sensory processing disorders, and the neuroanatomy of the relationship of movement to thought, which are all currently critical issues and topics in neurodevelopment (Click here to download these papers).

In addition to his private practice, publication, and educational responsibilities and endeavors, he has been appointed by the journal, The Cerebellum, to edit an international consensus paper on the role of the cerebellum in movement and cognition. He has also been appointed to the committee for Emperically Defined Disorders of Attention (EDDA), which is sponsored by the American College of Pediatric Neuropsychology. He is chair person for the EDDA subcommittee on the Etiology of Attention Deficit Disorders, and he serves as the facilitator between the Etiology and Diagnostic Committees. One of the purposes of EDDA is to define best practices in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of attention. He has given numerous presentations on these and related topics.

Most people realize that accurate diagnosis is important because correctly identifying the problem is the first step towards organizing a proper treatment plan and intervention. Dr. Koziol has seen patients from locations throughout the United States as well as from other countries.

His office is centrally located in the hub of the United States, so that travel and lodging arrangements can easily be made. On occasion, a family finds it more efficient to subsidize Dr. Koziol's travel, room, and board expenses. In these instances, Dr. Koziol will consider a "house call" type of arrangement if a setting can be determined where the individual can be seen. Dr. Koziol is well connected with professionals in most areas of the country, and therefore, office space can sometimes be arranged in other locations.
