Suburban Neuropsychologist Awarded Fellow Status

Dr. Leonard F. Koziol, who practices in Arlington Heights, has achieved
Fellow status in the National Academy of Neuropsychology. The award
acknowledges significant contributions to the field of neuropsychology
in the areas of clinical work, teaching, and research. Dr. Koziol’s
accomplishments include professional presentations at international
and nationally organized conferences (World Conference on Pediatric
Neuropsychology in San Juan, Puerto Rico; National Academy of Neuropsychology
in San Francisco, California were his most recent presentations), articles
and chapters in academic publications (Neuropsychology of Mental Disorders),
postgraduate teaching, training, and supervision of students nationwide
through his participation in various professional programs.
Dr. Koziol received his Doctorate degree in 1979. Since then, his focus
has been working with children, adolescents and adults in the areas of
attention, learning and memory, and reading disorders. Dr. Koziol also
frequently serves as a forensic expert in legal proceedings in various
parts of the country.
Dr. Koziol is the only neuropsychologist in the area who is board certified
by both the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology and the American
