Professional Experience
3/99-Present - Field Teacher/DCFS Educational Partnership,
Loyola University School of Social Work, Chicago, IL
Responsibilities include providing ongoing consultative, training
and educational experiences to DCFS staff in the area of application
and reinforcement of skill and knowledge acquired through
the various initiatives aimed at the improvement of practice.
This process includes working with DCFS Teams, Supervisors,
Clusters, Field Service Managers and Program Managers. Additionally,
education and training is provided on particular skill development
when identified as needed, such as; COA documentation, psycho-social
history and assessment writing, clinical supervision, mental
health issues, social services for children.

Responsibilities include overseeing Juvenile Justice and Child

and writing grants, as well as, developing and implementing
new programs. Other responsibilities include developing, implementing
and monitoring continuous quality improvement plan and activities
for Child Welfare, Juvenile Justice and DCFS Counseling programs.
Also, participated on committees that developed new Agency
forms for case documentation, clinical practice guidelines

Responsibilities include supervision of Juvenile Alternative
program with Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office
and Juvenile Court. The purpose of the program is to place
first time offenders in an alternative community based social
service program and provide individual/family counseling to
stabilize the family and deter youth from further involvement
in criminal activity. Other responsibilities include clinical
supervision for nine staff and provide individual, family,
and group therapy to youth and families referred to the program.

Responsibilities included completing eight to ten
home visits weekly of homebound elderly to evaluate the client’s
psychosocial needs. Home visits required a solid knowledge

A treatment plan of care was then developed utilizing the
